Sugar is considered a silent killer. However, more perspectives should be sought as it can even be useful in many situations. It is an essential food for some animals and can even save their lives if they have access to it. We are talking about bees, which many people are afraid of and want to kill when they get close to them. That is not the right way to think. Instead, bees need to be protected and even a little thing like a spoonful of sugar with a little water can help them. When the bee needs it, it will stop there and get the energy it needs to continue its flight.
Bees are dwindling
Few people know that bee populations worldwide have declined by one-third in the last five years and are still declining. And the consequences of this decline are more serious than they may at first appear. If bees were to become completely extinct, humans would have only four years to live. This is just reality, no joke. Without bees, no one would pollinate agricultural crops or fruit trees. It is thanks to bees that we can enjoy strawberries, apples, tomatoes, peppers and other fruits and vegetables we love.

How to help the bees
It is therefore essential to help the bees. They get tired during their flight while collecting pollen, and not all of them have enough energy left to return to the hive. This is why they are sometimes found on the ground dejected and lifeless. They need to replenish their energy, as flight is a very exhausting process. And sometimes all it takes is the smallest thing to save these hard-working little creatures. Give them energy in the form of sugar and water.
A spoonful of sugar will save them
Helping bees doesn’t have to be complicated. It is always advisable to take the easy way out and choose the most optimal method. You already have everything you need at home. Simply mix two tablespoons of white granulated sugar with one tablespoon of water. Scoop up the wet sugar with a spoon and place it in an easy-to-reach spot, such as a windowsill, wall or pot. This will allow the tired bee to recharge and fly back home.
