It’s not just brushing that helps to get white teeth, cut out these bad foods and drinks too

A beautiful smile is primarily a matter of bright white teeth. We all know very well that the best way to get them is regular and sufficient oral hygiene. But what else can we do to achieve a white smile that everyone notices?

Brush at least twice a day

We should brush our teeth at least twice a day for two minutes. Eat “white” foods

Foods that contain artificial colours are not very good for our teeth. Therefore, incorporate more white foods into your diet to prevent staining your teeth. Chicken, rice, fish, these are the right foods.

Limit drinking coffee and tea

Coffee, tea and red wine have one thing in common – they can stain your teeth very quickly and easily. The cause is the tannin content, a chemical compound that attacks tooth enamel and makes your teeth turn yellow. So try to limit your consumption of coffee, tea and red wine.

Chew gum

Saliva is produced when you chew to neutralize the acids in your mouth. In addition, chewing gum removes particles from food debris between the teeth. However, make sure that the gum is sugar-free.

Eat raw vegetables

Eating raw vegetables for snacks is not only highly healthy but also good for the colour of your teeth. It acts as a kind of plaque dissolver. You eat and clean your teeth at the same time. A double win.

Kiss yourself

Yes, that’s right. When you kiss, you exchange saliva with your partner, which is very good for your teeth. The other person’s saliva can neutralize the acids in your mouth and vice versa. A nice bonus is that kissing is also good for your immune system, unless your partner is coming down with a cold or going through some other illness.
