cleaning products

We have dedicated this article to cleaning products, which have a great negative impact on human health and also on nature. Believe it or not, but more than 150 thousand chemicals are found in commercial cleaning, disinfecting products in our homes. An insane amount that is frightening. And what’s the worst part? Manufacturers only list a few chemicals on product packaging. It’s primarily those that are the most dangerous. These include the well-known ammonia, formaldehyde, chlorine, lye, phosphates and phenols. These chemical compounds can cause many diseases, which are they? Alcohol and ammonia, commonly found in glass polishes, can irritate the respiratory system and cause various allergies, including asthma and skin rashes. Formaldehydes in the products also cause asthma, but they primarily affect the respiratory system and with frequent use, attack healthy cells in the body and can even cause cancer if immunity is chronically weak. Below we have prepared a recipe for citrus vinegar that can make the home smell good, but also clean and even polish. Here we go!

Citrus Vinegar

For one liter of liquid you will need:

  • lemon zest from two lemons
  • sugar 2 tablespoons
  • moist water

Prepare a liter bottle and place the picked and washed lemon peel in it. Then sprinkle it with sugar. Put 900 millilitres of water in a kettle or saucepan and boil it for at least one minute. After that, turn off the water and let it cool down to about 30°C. Pour the water over the sugar and zest and shake the whole bottle to mix the ingredients. Place the bottle, thus prepared and capped, in a dark place for six weeks. After six weeks, strain the liquid and you can clean up organically – cheaply and without chemicals.
