It can be planted classically in the garden, but it’s just as easy to grow it at home in pots. But you have to be patient and choose the right time of year to plant the plant. The pot you plant the garlic in should be at least 20 cm deep, so the garlic will take long roots.
Growing herbs and vegetables at home guarantees that you will have food without chemicals or pesticides. You also know what you are eating. Unlimited resources are another welcome bonus. You can use them whenever you need them and don’t have to rely on stores. Garlic is especially good for our bodies. It contains nitrogen, sodium, potassium, calcium, also vitamins C, D, B or essential oils.

It is also worth mentioning the compound allicin, which is released when garlic is minced before it is added to food. All of these properties are present in garlic when it is raw, but up to 90% of its properties are lost by cooking. Two cloves of garlic a day will prevent the flu or a cold from overwhelming you.


How to grow garlic easily at home?

In addition to improving blood circulation or preventing hypertension, you may also see garlic lower bad cholesterol, aid digestion, and may be useful in fighting gout, rheumatism, or obesity. It helps in the overall detoxification of the body, and has a diuretic effect.

Growing it is simple.

  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • A pot at least 20 cm deep

Choose your favorite type of garlic. Separate the garlic cloves without breaking them. Make sure the pot has holes in the bottom to allow excess water to drain. Fill it almost to the brim with soil. Insert the garlic cloves at least 10 cm deep with the pointed end up.

Put the pot in a place where it will get at least 8 hours of sunlight. Be careful not to overwater the plant. It can take 8-10 months for garlic to grow. When the leaves start to turn brown, dig up the garlic and place it in a cool, dry place.
