Can you imagine a diet without potatoes? We don’t, because potatoes are our staple food, eaten for lunch, dinner, and often for snacks. They can be made into a sweet treat as well as a savoury treat. Our Czech potatoes are very popular. However, potatoes can be used in other ways than for eating.

Potato Braid Mask

This potato mask is especially for those who have problematic skin. But it is also great for various rashes caused by wearing drapes and other troubles. Grate the potatoes on a fine grater and rub them on your skin. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and then wash it off. Repeat this process several times a month. At least once a week, you can do it more than once.

Potatoes can also be used for sun and fire burns. Again, it will be enough if you grate the potatoes on a fine grater and mix with potato starch. Put the resulting mixture on the affected area. It is advisable to peel the potatoes and wash them properly to prevent infection from getting into the burn. Leave the grated potatoes in a colander to drain slightly. Squeeze the potatoes with clean hands.

Potato Squash

Do you spill water after boiling potatoes? You are making a big mistake because such water in which you cook potatoes contains a lot of vitamins and minerals. Don’t throw away this precious liquid. Drain it and leave it to cool. Then pour the cooled water into a bottle and store it in the fridge. It is perfect for watering indoor and outdoor plants. They will be so well nourished and beautiful. We recommend taking the liquid out of the fridge and letting it warm up to room temperature before watering.

Salted Soup

Salted soup and expecting a visitor you wanted to treat to lunch? Don’t worry. Throw a peeled and washed potato into the soup, boil briefly and the soup will be ready to go again. If it’s really over-salted, add a little water with the potato to thin it out. That’s it, the soup is saved.
