Tough cleaning doesn’t have to bother anyone. These simple tricks will save the effort and cut it in half

To make a home look like a box, it is essential to spend a lot of time and care. A perfectly sparkling home often requires effort and regular care. But not everything has to be exhausting. There are tricks that can be used to make cleaning not only easier, but also more efficient so that it takes significantly less time.

Bedroom and living room

  • Many people hire professionals to reupholster their sofas, or even chairs. Often because regular store-bought products don’t work as well as we think. In this case, it is advisable to use car cosmetics, namely products for cleaning car interiors. They are stronger and can deal with even ingrained dirt.
  • Try removing the glass and plastic shades from lamps and chandeliers, and in the bathtub, pour warm water and dish detergent over them, shower and let them dry. Then just re-polish.
  • When cleaning windows, proceed by washing one side of the window from top to bottom and the other side to side. This makes it easier to see which side has unwanted smudges.

Kitchen Cleaning

  • If you have a grease-clogged hood screen, soak it in warm water with soap shavings.
  • Soak kitchen curtains and drapes in water with dish detergent before washing. This will dissolve the grease build-up.
  • You can get rid of limescale in the sink and faucet (as well as in the bathroom) with a solution of water, vinegar and lemon juice. If you have a thick layer of limescale in some areas of your kitchen, try putting gauze soaked in petrol on top of it. Leave it on for ten minutes, then just wash and polish the area.
  • Polish metal pots with a paper towel with a drop of olive oil.
  • Before you start washing the microwave, heat a bowl of water with five teaspoons of baking soda in it for a few minutes. This will dissolve the deposits and we won’t have to scrub the surface afterwards.
